As someone who works on a specialized platelet team in a medical laboratory. Thank you for your donation! I regularly make platelets by separating the RBC with regular donated blood, however this helps tremendously!

I respect anyone who donates blood of any form I myself have thrombocytopenia which is a deficiency of white platelets meaning I have to get platelets before any form of operation (even for braces) so thank you to anyone who donates blood

I really appreciate that you would do something like this 🥰 my dad had cancer (CLL) but unfortunately there was no match for him to do a stem cell transplant.. he sadly passed away December of 2019 but I have also decided to donate platelets so no one else would have to lose someone they love 😢💓
