After learning about these people I started doing some research. There is another YouTube channel called the watchmen and they link John the Baptist with these people (similar ideas but changes when it comes to the Messiah and water purification) “Danny the digger” mentions these people call themselves the Johan‘s.

3:26 - I'm sure you know how hot it gets in that part of the world. White reflects sunlight. What the heck, is strange about that. From everything I'm beginning to discover about this Sect, they seem like the most logical, sensible, and God Revering out of the whole lot. Being wrapped up in current, religious dogma, you may not allow yourself to see that. Yeshua was almost, certainly an Essene Himself. Your religious dogma will not allow you to accept that, either.

The Essenes were not the writers of the Qumran records, but the exiled Zadok priests from the 2nd temple @165 BC. The Maccabees/Hasmoneans defiled the 2nd Temple and exiled the true Zadok priests. Stop listening to the propaganda and do your own research.

The Essenes are not the ones who wrote the dead sea scrolls. The ones who wrote the scrolls was the original Zadok preists that Herod had ejeckted out if the temple so he could replace them with the Pharasees who were more acceptable of Roman rule! Read them for yourself and see how the scroll writers differ from Essene beleif

It is also they way Jesus preached, the red letter in the Gospel are Essene teachings. More known to the eastern ways, wich Jesus also studied and then brought over to the Christians belief. But sadly the Romans werent a fan of, so they tried to destroy that info reaching the masses. But i absolutely recommend people to read the Dead Sea Scrolls. Read up on Philo of Alexandria. I promise that you would read and understand the Bible in a whole new way. Peace be with you!
