The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug EXTENDED EDITION 3D Blu-ray review

Think the picture quality looked superb. At least until Smaug started chasing the hobbits then the CGI really looked noticable. The 3D was so/so I agree with the Bee Pop-out. But honestly it's ok you don't have do the 3D unless your a fan otherwise it's just a window into the frame a few times into the movie. Wish he kinda did a little more with it. Edit here years later solid review re-watched on my 4K 3D and your review is SPOT ON. 3D is hit or miss. When it's hitting its good. When it's not it's 2D. First disc is best disc for 3D.
