6 dead after Cessna aircraft crashes in a field near Murrieta

A small plane went down in a field northeast of Murrieta early Saturday morning with at least six people on board.

The flight departed from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, according to the FAA.

The Cessna aircraft crashed around 4:15 a.m. at Auld Road and Briggs Road in the French Valley area, according to Cal Fire in Riverside County.

Riverside County Sheriff’s found the aircraft fully engulfed in flames. There were six people on board and were pronounced dead at the scene, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are both investigating the crash.

Aviation isn't safe enough for people that have personal planes. But commercial airlines are pretty safe. Flying a plane is more dangerous than riding a motorcycle.

sometimes life is unfair, like when a submarine implodes or a plane explodes. thus is life and we should be offering condolences to the migrants in the mediterranean instead. their lives mattered too!

Flying is not for me. I went from USA to Europe and did not step one foot on a plane. Do not trust people when it comes to high speed machines.
