It was really very helpful as always Don! Even if you have already taught me many of this things, hearing them again in a single video is always useful as a review 🤣 Always keep it up Bro! 🙌🏻

I came across the mecha primer's when all the surface primers with-in 1K square kilometres had been purchased. I grabbed one of each of the 17ml bottles to sample them out. Truly a magical primer and paint collection to put through your airbrush.

Love your videos. I have purchased so many Vallejo products and have been absolutely lost and confused as to their proper use, until your videos. Thanks for your help!

I generally use the air stream of my airbrush to help dry primer, on this end. I've never had any troubles with the Surface Primer, on this end--in fact, I find it really easy to work with. I use my old low end Master airbrush to prime with and save the Badger 105 for actual painting, here. There's always new things to learn, and this video was great for that, thank you!

Been thinking of trying out the Mecha primer after your kind words on it. (tbh, Vallejo Primers is the only Vallejo paint that I don't use^^)
I "just" have to use up my 3+ bottles of UMP Primer before. If the Mecha is as good or better then the UMP, I'm going to be very impressed. (-:

Thumbs up. I have nothing but trouble with the Vallejo primers. Not so much the grey but white and black quickly lead to tip drying after a few minis. Having to strip the nozzle down to get a gooey plug out of it has really brought my urge to paint to a stand still, as I can't be bothered with the 1 minute of painting and 10 minutes of stripping and cleaning. I use vallejo thinner and flow improver...I've just never managed to hit the sweet spot between treacle and water. I shall cerainly try your secret sauce.Ahem.

Great Video, thanks for it. Is it correct that you mix the primer 1:1 with your thinning sauce?

Thanks, bro! This helps! I did experience paint chipping off on a few occasions using the regular primer. Now interested to use the Mecha primer... if I can find it! Local stores are out of stock! Also, I'm scared to use my Infinity to airbrush primer and varnish (I use a really cheap airbrush for that) because I don't want to damage it. What do you think? Is my fear warranted or misplaced?

Hi, I'm a bit confused on thinning the primer. So I need to mix... 3 parts thinner + 1 part flow improver for the 1 part sauce to 1 part Mecha primer? How much water do I add to any of this

I like to use vallejo black gloss primer does mecha have a glossy black primer comparable?

Hi Don how are you? One question, in previous videos your thinning sauce was 2 parts thinner 1 part flow, now I see is 3 parts thinner 1 part flow. Did you change it? Is it more effective 3:1 or 2:1? Thank you for your answer. Saludos!!

Great knowledge from Don :)
Does the Mecha primer leave a skin in the airbrush like Surface Primer does?
