I quit my senior year and that's exactly how I felt. Turns out they still loved me, as I heard the whole band cheer when I walked up to get my diploma 🥲. Moral of the story: if you leave, don't think they'll all hate you.

The Rival band one is so true, my school ended up with a lasting friendship for years because we were synchronizing our clapping from across the gym while waiting for the awards to be announced.

The not drinking water and free time things are so painfully accurate.

I once messed up my run at a compitition when I didn't have my synth on for 2/3rds of the show.

We won 2nd place.

This year, we had this 10 foot vinyl props, I’m in pit crew this year and we were standing on the sidelines and all of a sudden we just see them start moving and we all just start internally screaming. The band director made us go behind and hold them for every single show after 😂 (we did place second in prelims so that’s good)

I love these so much because I understand most of these even though we go to completely different schools. Kinda shows the connection between marching band members

Edit: I can relate to 1:21 so hard because once my band lost grand champion by .1 point

0:52 so true the pit is the underdogs of the band, but the sad thing is I’ve been trying to get out of the pit for a while and the damn Percussion instructor won’t let me move off of the synthesizer💀

As a drummer, the fundraiser with those chocolate bars was fun, like I was literally scamming people and charging up to three dollars. By the end of the week I had like $120 and I kept half the money 💀💀

0:59 I'm from Wylie East, the Rival of Wylie High, and if you haven't heard of us, we're in Texas Area C (along with Hebron, Marc, Flo Mo, etc.), and we're both consistent with making State. The thing is, we absolutely could NOT be as successful as we are without each other to make each other better. Rivals are family❤

Honestly most of the Bari sax players I know are pretty cool, though the flutes I agree with

One time, a member of a band from across the conference told me in the parking lot before we were on that they saw our show on youtube (i uploaded it) and they liked it. We pretend so often that it's mortal rivalry, but at the end of the day we share so much in common between bands. Never had an inter-band interaction that wasn't chill.

I remember when we’d come back from a football game we would always befriend the other band and wave at them once we left. It was only ever away games though :(

1:31 my school doesn't do competition bands we just go with the football team places, and a few other of our own things sometimes. The only reason we even get money is probably because of the team and even then, it's like 12 cents and a couple box tops a year. We just go off of the high we get from BS like "team spirit" and "fundraising"

The sophomore one is so accurate because when It was time to practice the field show I had no clue what to do so the sophomore helped me more than the teacher
