In this episode, we continue with the introduction to the period property through a house tour. Tony talks through our aims of a complete staircase renovation which will involve soda blasting and the revealing of cornice moulding in the morning room. We then move upstairs and look at remodeling the bathroom into an en-suite. If you want to see the step by step process of a regency renovation, watch this series. There's plenty more to come exploring this grade 2 listed building in episodes 3 and 4, so stay tuned!

A huge thank you to our show sponsors, MKM Building Supplies. We highly recommend you check out their website for all your construction material needs!

PLEASE NOTE: we’ll endeavour to answer questions and comments as soon as possible depending on work schedules.

It’s great to see a older property having the original features being sensitively returned back to glory. How many times our clients want it all removed from period houses when It’s part of owning a old house🤔. Great job as usual Tony👍

Great video guys! Your attention to detail is great, keep up the great work. The doors look like a lincrusta panel. Seemed like a lot of walls and doors used this back in the days of fancy craftsmanship, nice to keep there hard work around 👍🏼

What a house its great to see someone has the money to bring it back to its former glory and yes l never use a steamer on proper plastered walls or dot and dabbed boarded walls always use the soaking method and walking away from it to let it soak, also l did quite a few old Victorian house projects after they had been butchered in the seventies and then styles change and people want the old look back, the coving which had to be replaced l made the templates and cast the new pieces direct to the ceiling and wall, today there are many plaster casters who will make the sections on the bench as you already know, with the ceilings if it was really decorative plaster lath ceiling the floor boards above that ceiling would be removed and all the crap vacuumed out which would let you see which hooks of the lathing plaster had failed the using plaster of Paris the repair was completed, looking forward to seeing this project progress.

First discovered your channel with John's "How to Plaster a Wall" (fantastic video BTW). Really going to enjoy watching this series, exactly up my street. Your enthusiasm for the project is obvious, can't wait for the next episode. I recon with all the work there is to do there, we'll have plenty more instalments to enjoy. Great work lads.

Never seen so much passion for lining paper 😂 love it. Glad you guys think about comms risers even in domestic dwellings like this. Makes things so much easier when various trades know which runs to take to bring electrics and cat6. Same principle can be used for plumbing. Try to make risers for these too not always possible though. Some of those bathrooms look pretty good too shame to rip it all out. Great job guys.

Thank you for part 2.. Just a question on using lining paper to cover the stair wall. Can lining paper finish look that good. Mind you I am going by what I have seen done by DIYers. The Seams always show when painted.

If i may ask, How do you manage your time organizing a job like this and working hands on full time on that curved staircase? On that note from that stair video. I used your techniques on the curved handrail and the result was great! Our client was very happy with the job, if their is a way to post i photo here i would. Thanks again guys.
