Everyone was so damn creepy with her, I just remember her seeming so grown up to me, but looking back now (me being 30, ) I feel so uneasy about the questions they’re asking her and how good she is at placating people. It’s not normal for a teenager to be so trained in dodging invasive questions like it’s acceptable.

The fact that she had a hit TV show, 6 movies, 3 albums, 2 world tours and a clothing line in the matter of 2/3 years all before she was 18 blows my mind. As a kid, I saw her everywhere. She was my entire childhood but now that I look back I can’t believe how much pressure she was under at such a young age. I guess I always thought she was older.

the fact that it's an open fact that a director asked a 15 y/o to go into his trailer to watch her makeout with her costar, and the director continued/continues to get work just about sums up the film industry and its blatant p*dophelic idolization. So disheartening.

I have always thought it was very telling that Hilary’s mom was painted as a villain AND she’s one of the few child stars to make it out without anything traumatic happening (that we know of…minus the gross Good Charlotte dude). They couldn’t abuse Hilary because her mom was watching out for her and they hated it.
