A complete tutorial on how you can make a stunning interior render with Twinmotion 2020. This video will show you EXACTLY how to get the best lighting for interior rendering with Twinmotion.

First, I’ll show you the lighting options, settings and tricks.

Then, for our second part, you’ll see how to use the reflection probes for a interior scene.

Last up, we have the shadow decals. With this tool, the interior is more highlighted by the extra shadow, this creates extra contrast. A must for interior renders with twinmotion.

Arne, this was the best tutorial for twinmotion lighting i've seen so far, as a wannabe lighting designer you approached the topic with the much needed subtlety that I needed to learn. Thank you for posting this, I subscribed.

Great end result! A bit advance for a new user but love the artistic approach.

Great video! Though, from my perspective as a novice is that TM requires a lot of extra work to get a realistic result vs something like D5 Render, VRay, Luminion, or any other the other dozen render engines. You even have to add shadows by hand and define reflection planes vs. TM using material definitions for roughness? Nice work, but looks like a lot of extra work vs other options out there...

great tutorial! learned a lot! I'm glad I was able to follow along with the model. I'd like to see another tutorial with a material set up for the same scene possibly. or another model

I have not used Twinmotion much, but I do work with other architects that prefer it as their visualization tool. I always saw these badly illuminated interiors they used to show me, thinking that it was just a limitation of the software that we had to live with. Now I see that they were just slacking on their skills and letting the automatic lighting do the job, with the poor global illumination solution offered in Twinmotion. I'm going to share this video right away!

This is great - I like the artistic approach as opposed to having the render engine do everything - thanks for sharing

How do you add the object outside to the landscape background?

hello, this tutorial is very clear, and the render stunning. However, I on my version of twinmotion, I can't flip area lights upside down, nor tilt them 90° of else. twinmotion 2022.1.2. Thanks

Ziet er goed uit. De extra schaduw om het iets beter te maken kost jammer genoeg wel extra tijd

Thanks for showing the detailed process. Is there a way to add/render an ambient occlusion pass from a Twinmotion scene?

What is the mouse you are using? You are walking almost all corners very easily, But I am unable to use the mouse properly. Please explain that technique.

Nice work! How are you able to achieve the translucent (semi-transparent) curtains? Will the model work in TM 2021.1 and does it include the material to achieve the same results?
