Me: I could probably get into UPenn, I have a 4.0, good test scores-
Her: I have 300+ hours of community service and volunteer at a hospital during my free time.
Me: mind.

Great example of how even for top schools like Penn you don't need to have perfect or near-perfect grades and test scores. As long as you are above a certain level that shows you can do the work, what matters most is a unique profile that shows what you will contribute to the school. I'm sure the free clinic work made Heidi stand out from other nursing candidates, and I bet the recommendation from her clinic supervisor was glowing.

I live literally 2 blocks away from UPenn! My friends and I always hang out on campus, we’re in middle school but they have a ton of cafes and stuff there for the students.

Something tells me that penn is one of the easier ivied to get into. My friend also didn't get into any other ivied but got into penn.

Whenever I see people getting into Ivies and starting their videos with "my stats are not too good" I know for a fact that they have some amazing ecs that I can never amount to😢 GJ getting into UPenn!

Can someone please explain to me how someone can get 7 B's and have an UW GPA of 3.84??? Have I been calculating my GPA incorrectly this entire time??
