I want a usb peripheral of the kind of credit card reader from the 80’s and 90’s that takes an imprint of my card and makes a loud clacking sound for some reason. I don’t know how it works but I want to make my online purchases with it.

My dude they've had smart card readers for at least 2 decades now.

I have an old old old Dell 2004 fat work laptop that has one.

Only thing that's changed since then is the format got thinner.
