Why this modern review feels like a tv broadcast from the 90s? It's weird, but I like it.

Lon, your video's are brilliant and are much appreciated. I need some advice here in the UK. I have a WD My Cloud Mirror (6TB), and I hate it. I have tried everything but it is just so slow. I have watched all your videos (and others) but nothing improves the speed, reliability or usability. What are my options? I would think that a hard drive hub, in which I can use the WD red drives, would be a good solution? Any thoughts will be much appreciated. I am close to throwing it in the bin (trash in the US haha). WD have ignored ALL my communications.

The closed captioning claiming that his name is "lineside button" cracks me up. Great review though!

Your cable can have a big impact on speed as well. I suggest using the cables that come with the SSD. Those will probably be good. If you use other ones be aware that your transfer speeds can be much slower. If you want other cables, buy in Amazon and read the reviews to try an idea of the speed. Then test the cable with a large file transfer. Even the same cables from a brand with a different length can have different transfer speeds.

I like your pivotal tech display in the background.

I bought this SSD to store all my PS4 games, rather than taking up space on my internal PS5 SSD. This drive works flawlessly. The speeds are stupid fast and the SSD is super compact. Well worth the purchase.

To get even close to the advertised speed you need PCIe NVMe internal ssd on your device PLUS Usb 3 gen 2 to get the gigabyte speeds. Samsung revealed their device used to get the speeds

Hey Lon! How did you get the BlackMagic Disc Speed Test? Don't they only do it for the Mac?

Hi quick question. I am planning to buy one for my M1 ipad pro. It is very confusing after seeing reviews after reviews. This ipad has a thunderbolt port but it supports only USB 3.2 gen2 (usb 3.1 gen2). Some reviewers say that we need to use a thunderbolt cable with this drive to get the full speed. I am seeing you use the normal usb-c cable. Which is the right way?

Got this on sale today for $147 1TB I got the red one because I have too many black HDD's. Plus it's fast on my 3.2 Gen 2 port and red looks faster.

Questions mark, please> can you work up a HDD T7 without password installed or without fingertip ocassionally? Would get one with fingertip option, but would like to know if I can use it sometimes without any securities such as password or fingertip too...

I wonder if Microsoft's SyncFolder application will be able to auto back up files with the T7's password requirement?
