I have two 4 terabyte T7 Shields I use for 4K editing on a daily basis. Going on 14 months and they have worked perfectly-

for SSDs reliability should be preferred than outright transfer speed. T7 is one of the most reliable SSDs in the market for some time.

I've been a professional video editor for over 2 decades. I don't know ANY editors who put footage on the internal drive. Due to wear and tear we always use external storage, FYI.

Great review tho, thank you 😊. I was curious if they only USB A for PC & Laptop only, But seeing they have USB C to USB C, maybe it might support my phone, would try & see how things work out, I also appreciate you explaining about their encryption. Thank you very much 😊

Nice video Adam, as always. I have a couple of T7: one T7 touch for security and one T7 shield.

I use the touch one for backup files and important things, while I use the shield as a boot drive for my old iMac from late 2015. It is such a massive upgrade from the old HDD in that iMac!

I have an IMac & I use a T7 to store all my music & it works fine.My iPhoto library is getting large so I was going to use another T7 to externally store all my pics & vids.Do you think another T7 can handle the iPhoto storage?

I’m new to Mac just before Christmas got MacBook Pro and I’ve had the t7 and t7 shields on my old windows lap and they are great. One thing I noticed you mention about that magic software is you have to go through a load of hoops to get the software to work on Mac by giving it permissions via recovery mode on Mac. I’ve never bothered and just use my old laptop to update the drives via the same software. The old Samsung software that’s on the ssds doesn’t work now
