Configure Database Mail, Operator and Notifications in SQL Server

There has been a lot of queries asking me to post a something on how we can setup a system to detect issues when, my replication fails or SQL Job fails or there is an alert fired. To be able to fix these issues its really important to get notified in time as timely notification can only lead to timely resolution.

I have demonstrated the same in this video session. You will learn to setup

1.) SQL Server Database Mail system
2.) Setup Operator
3.) Use it to get notified wherever there is a glitch in any SQL Job or replication.

Very good explanation your friend, I learned a lot. 
Set up alerts in SQL here on my servers and everything worked.

Hi try to setup mail but i got this error can u help me to resolve this error  

The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. (Sending Mail using Account 1 (2015-01-22T13:03:38). Exception Message: Cannot send mails to mail server. (The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. rf10sm5103041pdb.21 - gsmtp). )

Mensaje de excepcion: no se pueden enviar los mensajes de correo al servidor de correo. (el certificado remoto no es válido según el procedimiento de validación)
