Paul Butterfield, one of the best bluesmen ever.

When I was a kid, I’d watch The Midnight Special as an act of rebellion against my bedtime. Now I watch it to fill my soul!

As a young teenager in the late 60's, the first time I heard this band I was hooked. They pretty much never got played on the radio...

I’ve never seen footage of the original Better Days before, and, not surprisingly, they’re killing it here—fantastic! I bought their albums when they were first released and still play them regularly. Amos Garrett has been a hero of mine for fifty-plus years. A thousand thanks for posting this!

Great performance showcasing their “swampy” blues sound - Pauls fantastic vocal and harp playing skills. Did some digging and realized this is his “Better Days” band, and that Paul was trained as a classical flautist.
Tulsan Elvin Richard Bishop, “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” songwriter-slide guitarist got his start with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band way back at the beginning in 1965. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015. It’s sad that Paul Butterfield succumbed to addiction brought on by his health struggles with peritonitis, and died at age 44 in 1987.
Thankful we get to enjoy these gigs…forever…❤…

You know what's criminal? All the Butterfield studio recordings (obviously not this live one) with ZERO HARMONICA...the producers on all those tracks should've been exiled or worse...

Sorry, not feeling it. This sounds too staged, not loose.
