I have to have a grip, lol. Though it does depend on the foundation, some keep my skin too tacky and they never dry down. Charlotte Tilbury and Embriolysse are my ride or die primers...but its for the plumping and makes my foundation go on better, not necessarily helping with the longevity

Dry skin as well. I love the sheen suggestions! ELF has a radiant primer as well that I'm trying. Not as sheen-ful as the one's you've shown though.

I like the covergirl line of primers, especially the pore minimizer. Also, I don't look for spf in a primer as I don't use enough of the primer to get the protection of an spf. Usually I just apply it where I need it. I am going to try the e.l.f. putty primer it looks like it might work on my mature skin. Great Review

I do love nyx marshmallow primer too, it's my daughter Logan holy grail. Bobbie please try Clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion it's amazing under makeup ..I also think the yellow colour covers flaws as well.

I use tinted mineral-only sunBLOCKs for primer. Because they're tinted, I can see how evenly I've applied. Or not. Most of the time, I don't need extra moisture with the sunblock, but during windy, dry weather, I use a light moisturizer under the sunblock, with a heavier cream at night. The sunBLOCKs I use both leave a nice semi-velvety finish, which lets my foundation/color base products go on so easily. Bliss brand Block Star SPF 30 or Australian Gold SPF 50 (this one has a couple of tones, I use the fair to light one). Love your presentations, thanks for your energy!

For my primer I use Clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion and for eye primer I use pixie brightening peach color corrector or smashbox Becca brightening corrector...multi use products.

Thank you for the smoothing primer I'm going to try it ..also for the Sephora one but I love dewy look. I used to use Charlotte Tilbury magic cream but it has gone thick and gloopy twice and for the money I get upset.

I agree that most hydrating primers don’t do that much for really dry skin. My skin is always dry, and it just sucks up any kind of moisture I put on it within a couple of hours. The whole primer dilemma is a big one though. Skin always seems to need different things to stay happy.

Such great information! Due to being totally allergic, break out in hives, to chemical SPF and hot flashes my water resistant mineral SPF works as my primer. I also find I need less foundation. I’m totally going to try using a smoothing primer on my pores. I have a small sample size of the elf putty primer that I use as eye shadow primer because I didn’t want to waste it, lol.

This is a great video ! Very informative ! I love the ELF Matte Putty Primer, it also works great as an eye shadow primer ! It kept my eye shadow from creasing for the entire day.

I did not know about grip primers! Thank you, Bobbie! I think I’m better off sticking with the illuminating kind 😊 I don’t mind having a bit of glow. I need all the sparkle I can get 😆

I'm not a big fan of primers, but I feel like trying some again. knowing me, I would prefer the "glowy" ones!

Bobbie I tried the Revlon one, you mentioned it in another video. I do like it so far. When I hear grip I think tacky feeling. I'd try the Elf before the Milk one, if I was curious. 😊Thanks for clarifying.
