I coach similar denial defense within post grad basketball. The thing 2:25 is when you’re guarding back door cuts we need to cover rotations. Who is helpside taking away the drive and who is helping the helper for any drift pass of dump off passes from the baseline driver or wing slasher depending on where we force them backdoor.

The defensive rotations that allow the backdoor to happen can lead to charges or a contested midrange shot when helpside plays off the midline and gets outside the paint. I can leave with a shot most teams don’t work on anymore as opposed to just forcing a backdoor layup and we don’t have anything to fix it

I love how you track the words or actions onto the players. It really helps you see what’s going on.

Why don't all basketball programs use 2-3 defenses? Why are there so many versions of one constant side of the ball (defense)? I know box and one can be used mid-game to throw off rhythm but if the pack line defense works well with Virginia why can't it be used with every other team?

thank you for the constant analysis and awesome game break down. It has helped a ton but my only problem with this channel is the same annoying music. Maybe a change in that?
