I've rode this train probably 15 times. Always a lot of issues, being late, hit someone, the conductor told me too he's had issues with people trying to beat the train and getting hit. Very nice man. Just a myriad of issues and the train really needs some updating

I've had the worst luck with Amtrak. Once coming home from New York the power went out and we were stuck in a tunnel for over an hour. No lights, air, nothing. We were in one of tha last cars and someone walked through with a flashlight to check on us but man it was scary.

I've sat on this train for about 4 hours before. That happened years ago. It's always hit or miss going from Detroit to Chicago. I pray we step up our train service in this country. It should be a more viable option.

I ride this particular line about once a month. I have never had anything like this occure. The only time I experienced an issue was when the Feds stopped the train outside of Jackson Michigan and stormed (?) the car I was in and ungentl6 removed a guy setting accross from me. No idea what THAT was about, but thats not an AMTRAK issue. In fact, my travel.on AMTRAK has been so pleasant, I am taking the California Zephyr out to San Francisco just to ride the train.

Well its not a bullet train so why are they expecting anything else especially from a Detroit to Chicago trip?, that's a distance away!, hell... the train was probably tiered too.

Keep expecting this to happen with government restrictions. Also, the Amtrak wolverine mainly uses rails owned by freight companies. Amtrak and MDOT did buy a section of track from Jackson to I believe SW of Kalamazoo that was designated high speed. However, Nortfolk Southern Railroad sold it, doesn't maintain it, but holds trackage rights and is still first come when they want to use it. So, Michigan tax dollars help corporate NS railroad as well. Look into it.
