Genocide in China is Worse Than You Think

Because From China’s perspective controlling the Xinjiang region is absolutely necessary to guarantee their position as a global superpower. Without an iron clad control over Xinjiang it would mean China’s multi billion dollar belt and road investment projects that connect to the rest of the world and their national security would fail. They would lose control of oil pipelines and natural resources that would jeopardize their security. The Xinjiang region is too strategically important for them to allow an independence movement there to get off the ground which is what they claim they are facing from the Ugyhur population.

Xinjiang is a buffer zone to eight countries on China’s border some of which have stability issues. And many people don’t know but the region is home to China’s sensitive nuclear weapons testing sites. Which there has been satellite evidence that they are getting ready to resume testing soon new Lop Nur. This is a dried up salt lake in Xinjiang where China has conducted 40 nuclear tests since they first started in 1964. They’ve built five underground nuclear tests at Lop Nur.

From China’s point of view expanding their borders to the west to its natural geographic boundaries of the mountain range is vital to their security no matter who lives there, extremists or not. From their perspective it’s like a version of the United States Manifest destiny when the US expanded to California in the mid 1800s. This is likely why China thought the west would be sympathetic to their operations in Xijang because according to them it resembled the US war on terror and US expansion west.

when a country has the word democratic in its title, it rarely is. When a Region has an Autonomous title in it, it usually isn’t.

I'm glad more people are bringing these kind of issues to light, it's a shame almost nothing is being done to prevent this.

It disgusts me how the world isn’t talking enough about this issue. It’s like having photo evidence of the holocaust and going “you know terrorism has been pretty bad over there lately”

If they do this to their own citizens, imagine what they'll do to anyone in their way. The organ harvesting is just sad.

What pisses me off the most is that there's not much most of us can do to stop it.

Decades later, students will learn about this and wonder “how did the world let this happen”

Time is the ultimate, ruthless judge of all. A lie being told a thousand times does not make it truthful. We will soon know which side is telling the truth, and which side is not....

I feel like this has been largely forgotten, great work for shining some light on Chinese crimes against humanity 👍

Edit: yay I started a war in the comments 🍿
Edit number 2: yes i am aware that the west did/does crimes against humanity as well and i also condemn them. You dont have to keep telling me. Just because i say china is bad doesn’t mean i say the west is good. And also yall gotta stop picking 1 side (east or west) and defending it with your life like edgy teenagers that just found out what geopolitics are.

The fact that Muslim nations support China and Western countries with their well-known "love" of Muslims support Uighurs is quite telling

I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that in Disney's live action "Mulan", the Xinjiang tourism board is credited. Absolutely disgusting

This is an extremely important and tragic topic and I'm glad to see more youtubers cover it

it's infuriating how little coverage this has gotten, a literal genocide by a developed country, a near-peer adversary so thanks for posting this.
i can understand why china/West Taiwan wants to secure the region but the way they want to go about it is absolutely despicable. what's more is that the rest of the world is letting it happen.

i'm really glad to see a vet-focused person put some focus on this. Its been happening for years, and just cause its been going on for so long, people forget it. I hope you revisit this with a 'here's what we're doing' or 'heres what we can do'.

Thank you for talking about this, Cappy! I bring it up in church regularly. Their religious freedom is our religious freedom, with the way the world is headed towards an intersection.

In 2009 China tore down large parts of Old Town Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang. Old houses, mosques, market places. Motivation: they were not earthquake-safe.
_The buildings were standing there for some 300 years without any problems…_
The new buildings that were raised were far from Uighur traditional style.
Deprive someone of their culture and you have won half the game.
