Sony Is Making The PS6 Right Now…

Sony has reportedly awarded a contract for the PlayStation 6’s chip to AMD, choosing the American semiconductor company due to their strong focus on backwards compatibility. This decision came after a competitive bidding process back in 2022 - that saw other major players like Broadcom & Intel eliminated from any consideration, according to sources cited by Reuters.

You see, the reason why Nintendo is usually a safe investment is because they focus more on making fun games rather than the hardware. I feel like once they catch up with the hardware, there isn't going to be any reason to buy any other console. Hence, why Sony and Microsoft really need to stop having this pissing contest over who has the 'best hardware'. At this point it doesn't matter, we just want to play fun games.

The PS5 Pro costs so much because Sony wants to see how much they can charge for the PS6. This thing is probably gonna use the 2nm Fabrication from TSMC for the cpu and or gpu, which costs almost double for Sony to order. Furthermore it's gonna need more and faster RAM which probably means GDDR7 and more of it even though that spec itself is a major Price increase. Prepare for a 800$ Console.

I would consider buying a PS6 under 3 conditions:
1- backward compatible with PS1-2-3-4-5 games
2- not required to connect online or create PS account unless we want to
3- PHYSICAL disk reader integrated

I miss the PS2 era, that was the best time for gaming hands down
