I was a teen in the 80’s. It was the most colorful and DIVERSE era of music I’ve lived through. Music that made you feel alive.

I love 80's synth/chord music. Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Depeche Mode, etc. All of these groups nailed that futuristic/nostalgic sound

I remember I heard this song while riding in the car on a family vacation when I was 8 years old, I loved it but never heard it again until 22 years later in GTA V. It was always in my mind.. but I was too young to understand or know the lyrics or the name of the song.. I just could always hear the melody in my When I finally heard it on GTA V....all my memories of that trip came back to me and it felt like a long journey had finally ended. I finally found the song I loved.

The chord progressions of this song gives me the chills!

Great song when it first came out and still a great song for my kids to listen to!

That’s a classic!

It's saddening, we have all moved on with our lives, and a lot of us will remember this song coming on in GTA, but remember who you were playing with? Remember the feeling? I wont ever forget those night playing till sunrise with the boys, the goofyness, the laughs. When this song came on faintly playing behind the sound of the feltzer. 23 years old now, im a truck driver and hoping that the people I didn't keep in touch with are safe and well, im out here wishing time didnt fly by so quick, that I could just experience one more of those nights. 😔😴

This 4 plus minute song has more one liners and memorable quotes than most feature films. Still killing it mid 2019

Wish I was born 40 years earlier so I could live in this era of music. So good...

This song came out when I was 11 or 12 and just blew me away. I had never heard anything like it. I guess "captivating" is a good word. The synths to me are both beautiful and sad sounding. The bassline is funky, the beat is danceable. And that quasi rap vocal in a posh British accent which then switches to an androgynous tenor croon. So much going on. Loved it and still do!

Synthesizers in the 80s and 90s were immaculate

What a fantastic song, it really never gets old. It captures that timeless feeling of walking the streets of London at night after a heavy rain. Perfection.

"In a West End town, a dead end world. The East End boys and West End girls. West End girls."

The last minute or so, the outro, is simply amazing. The sound of waves is a very tasteful choice.

The instrumental is timeless, so beautiful to this day. The synths blend so well together, and that bassline is perfect.

I don’t listen to anything remotely related to this genre and this is one of my favorite songs of all time. No idea why, such a unique vibe.
