Plo Koon definitely would have survived Order 66 if he was on the ground. which makes me sad because he might have been able to stop the empire from forming as a result.

I want to see him duel Dooku. Dooku is underrated by the fan base, I think. He was considered the best duelist of the Jedi, and beat Windu when they sparred. It was just an interesting note

I'm a firm believer that plo-koon is one of the few jedi that should have survived order 66 and likely would have it the circumstances were different

With qui gon dead plo would have been the ideal master from anakin. Instead of being trained by a rookie team Who was more of a big brother and a friend than master he would have a very experienced father figure would would command his respect yet was fair and compassionate.

I would like to see a couple of movies that focus more on those jedi's in the background m or the ones next to the main jedi's. Like this guy. There are so many stories that can be made there and with plo so powerful and can do his own version of force lightening. It would make for a fun movie or three

There is no canon, lore, or anything from expanded universe legends that says this. Only a video game. If my recollection serves me right, yoda beat plo twice out of the 3 duels and only one did plo koon go to a stalemate with Yoda too.

Well honestly this is a remake of another video(make sure some strategies and tactics are said)
Him using sweeps and defensive movements of Shien(for parrying and displacing Yoda and throwing off his stance and movements) and soresu using the blocks needed to stone-wall Yoda(which attacks in a way that someone is fighting 3 ataru knights), Shien is used likely for deflecting Yoda's attacks, then His Ataru and Jdem so... to overpower.

Interesting thought about form 5 Djem so rather to be aggressive and end the duel quickly and how this was seen as a mercy, compared to prolonging the duel.

If he was so powerful in the force he could have sensed the attack before it came and taken evasive action. Like many of those who survived did. He didn't until it was too late because he was in his zone enjoying got shot down like a chump. Anakin and Obi wan were elite in their unstoppable. Plo Koon was an easy target.

Im suprised about soresu as the wiki never states he uses it. I have no doubt as a veteren jedi guardian he had a working knowledge of all forms but i was led to believe his defencive moves were derived from shien not soresu although shien is a development of soresu. I actually think if there was another from which plo koon utilised it was actually form 6 niman as he has shown mastery of intergrated force techniques and familiarity with duel saber combat.
Plo koon has also struck me as someone who pursued a select few techniques in both combat and the force but utilised them in creative ways to him the best variability in any situation.
For my opinion the techniques plo utilised are:
Form 5 more shien than djemso
Form 4 for its acrobatics and unarmed strikes as well as giving him familiarity with fast fighters.
Form 6 for force intergration and it versatile move set.
Unarmed combat form of some sort most likely from the barando sect.
form 1 as every jedi uses this.
And lastly sokan as he used the enviroment to his advantage but in a more active way than kenobi as he utilised the force to manipulate it such as fog.
I dont believe form 3 was he used as often as plo believed in ending the fight as quickly and decisively as inline with him being a form 5 master. Also to note when plo was on defensive against ventress his defensive pratices utilsed a more shien/niman hybridization as he utilised blade pinning back at the opponent not mere deflection and also force intergration which is from niman.

in a fan story i am working on, my Character, Named Caistus Mahrr Becomes the Padawan of Plo Koon, and because of Caistus' innate abilities with the Lightsaber, and how quickly he adapts with one, even Yoda said he would not be able to Teach him the Jedi Virtues due to his aggressive combat potential. but Plo Koon said he would take him under his tutelage, and so he did. in the Fan Story, Caistus ends up being able to Duel two of Sideous' Clones at ones, showing his potential really was great, and truly was tapped into due to Plo Koon's training and discipline with the blade.

i often thought of choosing Mace Windu as Caistus' Master, but ended up choosing Plo Koon due to his incredible balance in the way of Lightsaber Combat, and his unwavering connectiuon to the light side, which allowed him to utilize Force Judgement without much of an issue. because of all of those factors, i wanted him to be Caistus' Master, which lead him down a path of purity that could Rival the likes of Sideous twice over, as stated.

Spoiler, but Caistus DID get severely injured and had to tap into a darker side of himself to defeat the two Sideous clones, due to both pushing Caistus with mocking jabs aimed at his former Master, Plo Koon, leading to Caistus unleashing his full power in a fit of protective rage, leading to both of the clones dissintegrating because of Force Repulse. to make sure he stayed in the Light, after he was healed he went on a journy to Plo Koon's home planet, and meditated on a mountain top that Plo Koon had taken Caistus to during his training. there he managed to connect deeply with the force, allowing him to maintain his connection to the light, and purging any Dark thoughts that could possibly sway him down the path to the darkside in the future.
