I think Gretchen's downfall began when she turned on Alexis. Alexis always had her back but the moment Gretchen became friends with Tamra, she ditched alexis so fast. I almost wondered if Tamra befrended Gretchen to separate her from Alexis and then take Gretchen down. Remember: when Vicki became friends with Alexis, she didnt ditch Alexis after becoming friends with Tamra again. When Alexis was friends with Tamra, she never turned on gretchen.
