Things are strange right now. The US dollar is becoming less valuable because of inflation, but it's getting stronger compared to other currencies and things like gold and property. People are turning to the dollar because they think it's safer. I'm worried about my retirement savings of about $420, 000 losing value because of high inflation. Where else can we keep our money?

The major problem with USA, and they don't get it, is their fiat USD. It's a piece of paper that is supposed to be honourable to use as a guarantee that a country can use it to buy equivalent resources/commodities from other countries, in exchange for the commodities and resources bought from the by USA (USA is the BIGGEST IMPORTER of other countries resources and commodities, and relies on its fiat USD's as its export). But USA keeps printing off fiat USD's to exchange for other countries resources and commodities, diluting and devaluing ALL global fiat USD's ... reducing the "promised" purchasing power of their fiat USD's. It's like, I can print money, and I give you $1.00 in exchange a banana. Then you have my $1 to spend anywhere around the world. You decide you want to buy an apple from another country that costs $1.00. BUT I also want that apple as well. So, I print off $2.00 to get that apple. The apple dealer gives it to me. Then I tell the country, 'sorry, it's inflation'. But you have exchanged NOTHING for the banana or apple. You got it for free (you just give them a piece of paper ... for the hard work they did to get you the banana and apple).
