That's almost exactly what I said when I saw the mask. It looks like something the hospital provides after severe disfiguring trauma. Fully admit I wasn't crazy about the mask upon first seeing it- but then the 2nd time I watched Unsainted it began to grow on me. The mask looks different every time he wears it. This mask changes.

Great story. Glad to see people can relate to the symbolism of all that we call Slipknot, music, masks, etc... I've loved the mask since I saw it. So much you can do with it. I totally get what Corey was saying. Props to Slipknot and props to the kid in the story. You aren't alone bro.

I don't even know why people ever disliked the mask. It's a combination of two of his best, the AHIG one, and the Iowa one. Plus the way it looks kinda fucked up live just adds to it, for me at least
