Ramesses or Ramses the Great was one of the greatest Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt. His reign lasted for 60 years, and his legacy was significant. By analyzing his mummy researchers thought initially he suffered from ankylosing spondylitis. Until recently it was believed Ramesses the second, or Ozymandias, and various members of his family suffered from ankylosing spondylitis. His diagnosis was later refuted. Scholars thought he died at the age of 90 due to a tooth abscess. His mummy shows us he had a hooked nose and wounds and fractures incurred in battle. In 1974 the mummy was transported to Paris because it needed treatment for a fungal infection that was causing fast deterioration in the Museum of Cairo. He needed a passport to travel and was received with honors at the airport by Valéry Giscard d'Estaing. Ramses the Great has revealed that he probably had red hair. Ancient Egyptians used henna to dye their hair, but scholars studied his hair DNA and established he was red-haired. He also suffered from atherosclerosis and arthritis. He had over 200 wives and concubines and fathered over 100 children.

The mummy has a hooked nose:
"Hooked nose is a feature of people from middle East & Jews. From middle east its genes have come in Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan & Gujarat. In India hooked nose is commonly present among parsi community as they are from Iran.
