OCD is misunderstood by so many people, therapists included. It’s a painful disorder that’s hard to address and overcome. I empathize with her!

I'm not a psychiatrist but I think she has extreme OCD. I also have OCD but not nearly to this extent. It seems her intrusive thoughts about the germs and need for control have overpowered her ability to mask her symptoms and stop the compulsions. She will never be able to control her obsessions about the germs but she will have to learn how to react to those feelings. Honestly this girl is suffering. I hope she gets help and finds happiness cause it's obviously affecting her and her family.
