MORE ABOUT ME

I'm Anne of All Trades. In NASHVILLE, I have a woodworking, blacksmithing and fabrication shop, a selection of furry friends, and an organic farm. Whether you've got the knowledge, tools, time or space to do the things you've always wanted to do, everything is "figureoutable."

I became "Anne of All Trades" out of necessity. With no background in farming or making things, I wanted to learn to raise my own food, fix things when they break and build the things I need.

12 years ago I got my first pet, planted my first seed and picked up my first tool.

My goal is to learn and share traditional techniques and skills while showing my peers how to get from where they are to where they want to go, how to do the things they are passionate about, and what can be done TODAY to engage their own community and grow deep roots.

Whether it's carving spoons, making my own hand tools, restoring my antique truck or growing heirloom tomatoes, the farm and workshop definitely keep me busy and support - whether financially through Patreon, through shopping my affiliate links, through buying merchandise, plans or project videos, or even just liking, commenting, and sharing my content with others helps me GREATLY to keep producing quality content to share.

Anne, I’m a firefighter and watching you with your weed torch made me laugh so hard. That’s how we all learn though. You are awesome. ❤️❤️

Tip, you can weigh down your cardboard with an old plastic gallon milk jug that has been cleaned and filled with water. Put a hole in it, and it will keep your cardboard moist.

I love this wonderfully educated woman who is so willing to put herself on to teach us and is honest about the previous failures that helped her learn, so we can learn. Anne, i love watching you and I totally appreciate you 😊 ❤️

last year when I saw that lettuce was $2 a head, I bought seeds and planted them. Almost no growth, (too hot ) this spring I had a great crop of a variety of lettuce due to last year's seeds.

75 days left! This is hilarious. We already had our first frost last week, plus spring frosts into mid-June. My entire growing season this year was about 60 days. Cant wait til I get a green house!

Your positive attitude and relaxed approach to gardening is infectious. You just make me smile every time. I'm going to expand my garden (again!) and have to go back to your Start a Lazy Garden From Scratch to get the steps correct. Thanks for all you do. Cheers from Ontario!

Also, I love your "weird english", cause it is super similar to my own! 😊

Okay, I keep editing as I get farther into the video, but omg I love your personality. Makes me smile and helps make my day a little better and helps make my future feel a little brighter and more doable than yesterday.

You are such a delightful person! I love watching your videos. I told my husband, "I wish I lived near Anne. We'd be great friends!" :)

Anne, you are so cute and have such a precious personality!! When you said "there are no mistakes in gardening, only learning opportunities!!" And then stopped to question why you didn't learn the first 30 times, I felt so seen and not alone 🤣 I am notorious for not really learning from my mistakes!! But listen, I recently heard someone say "repeating something over and over and expecting a different result is not the definition of insanity. It's the definition of PRACTICE." I loved that so much!! Hope you do too!

The comment about Swiss Chard and then the Torch. Had me rolling. Thanks for the laughs and the sarcasm along the way of teaching.

I'm in Florida 10a, which is different planting due to pests and ridiculous UV, but I learn much from your videos! You are funny and informative. Love your channel!

Just what I needed to plan my (lazy) Labour Day gardening! Imagonna soak some peas tonight and broadcast a medley of spinach, radish, carrots, whatever after I clear the goutweed from my raised bed in the morning. (It's been lying fallow these 4 years since the COVID distracted me.)
