One manufacturer has a bezel less "infinity display" that is highly susceptible to cracking and yet a good many people are falling over themselves to shower it with praises. Another manufacturer has an handset that is built like a tank and (shock and horror!) has bezels and yet a good many people are complaining that the bezel design is dated and boring and hence they would never purchase that particular handset.... sigh.

"bothie" - couldnt the marketing team come up with something better, like "Dual-shot" ??

Looks good! but will it be able to compete with the likes of Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7+?

No dedicated camera button, thats not a nokia. Nokia had dedicated AF Camera buttons since N Series (2006)

Samsung Galaxy S8 launching price was €699 and it was fine... Nokia 8 launching price will be €599, and everybody loose their sh.t 😒

for this price, Nokia is out of the race before it even starts.

Aside from the 'bothie' and the 'audio recording' both of which may or may not be good...there's very little to make this phone stand out against the Sony XZ or the Huawei P10/Honor 9.

The capcitive buttons should be like in oneplus so you can remap them. + that triangle and square looks ugly as f! Otherwise looks good solid phone! I hoped bigger battery than 3090mah and pixel size are also 1.12um but i can deal with those for now!

This is Nokia we're talking about here. Where's the sleek camera interface and full manual mode? Where's the dedicated camera button? Where's the lossless zoom? What a disappointing entry into the flagship space. I bet even the Lumia 1520 will have a better camera than this not to mention the old, Lumia 950/XL.

Since almost every aspects of this phone (spec wise) is rather mediocre, it'd better be at least super durable to live up to its name. I hope the Nokia camera UI that HMD just got back from Microsoft will be put on the future firmware soon.

I dunno why you guys keep saying Nokia's not gonna do well. It seems to me they did well enough with the Nokia 3, 5, and 6 that they decided to push out an 8 and soon a 9.

Design is quite outdated and 18:09 aspect ratio is missing... Would I pay 599 bucks???

It is not impressive at all. They call it a return to the market of flagships?!! Well, they are definitely wrong.

I would buy this if it were a bit cheaper.
