Yes, but there is also -root3/2 -root3/2 which equals -root3 so 4root3 -root3 finally gives 3root3. Hope that sorts that out for you?

Sorry, but at the end, shouldn't 2root3 plus 2root3 make 4root3 not 3root3 that you have listed? I could be wrong, if so could you explain why? Thanks
