I like that! That could be useful for slower parts on my next album. Thanks for this David!

awesome as always. question - how do you decide what reverb you want to use on different things? i often find myself fiddling for a long time with a bunch of different reverbs to find something that does what i´m hearing in my head, no matter if it´s for snares, guitars or vocals and what not.

Tasteful, thanks for sharing. I would say it is not super obivous for "Normal listeners". For snares, personally I am always tempted doing something really obvious and radical like Massive Attack but that's obviously very restricted to mostly experimental genres.

Hey David, is there a reason why the reverb is only at 70% or is that part of the trick? Absolutely love your tutorials man, keep up the amazing work!

Hi Dave

I recently watched your video on compression vs limiting. Therefore I'm very curious about transient shapers/designers. In what situations would a transient designer be more preferable? I know you used it for a specific reason here in this video, but I would like to see a video (or just your thoughts) similar to the one you did on compression vs limiting.

Again, love your work. You rock!

Best regards

Could I apply this to the rest of the drums as well? Awesome job as always!

Nice tricks !
Why not printing the parallel tracks when hardware are used ?
I use this a lot and it save me some time when doing some recall (but it's a bit more risky I have to agree).

I can even hear the difference on my laptop speakers - incredible. You say you haven't found anything yourself that works as good as SPL TD plugin - understandably, it's a fantastic plugin, but one that's beyond my current budget, do you have any similar examples with other transient-shaper plugins? Another great vid, thanks

Is there a link to the actual mix? I love the drums! Drum samples used?

I found i can make stock snare sound good without samples, but it requires a ton of processing including transient shaping
