I think its be a common confusion as barn sheep farmers like sandy brock do have sheet lambing very few months so i think people think all sheep farmers use this methord

This reminds me of a time I had an argument with a girl way back when I was in college, about, you know, what causes seasons, she was adamant that it was the distance from the sun and not the earth's tilt, and yet, the southern hemisphere has opposite seasons. She did not believe this, and only after looking it up did she finally agree, but insisted that the distance from the sun had something to do with it too.
