Dear sweet Sandi, do not let strangers on YouTube change who you are or how you do things. Yuck washes off and the birth process is Not sterile... I say that to the rude people who try to tell you how to do your job whilst living in their mothers basement. Those gloves are also expensive. I would be cutting that cost out. Keep some on hand.

I've wondered for quite awhile how you can assist delivery with gloves on. I never could manage that when we were in the throws of lambing or kidding or calving. You do you. . . You're doing great!

God it’s just absolutely heartbreaking when a baby doesn’t make it 💔… I know you’ve had plenty experience with it being in your line of work, but I also know that there’s no amount of exposure that could make that circumstance any easier. You are so so so strong and I am in constant awe of your courage and tenacity. It’s very clear that you are doing exactly what you were put on this earth to do. You are so kind, nurturing, and loving towards these gentle creatures and take such pride in helping them through all stages of their lives. I envy your resilience and I’m always rooting for your success 🥰 Don’t let anyone tell you how you should or shouldn’t run things over there, it’s more than obvious that you know what’s best for your animals and that your instincts are spot on when you’re put in a difficult situation. I don’t know for sure about the stuff coming out of the mom at birth cause I don’t deliver anything……. But I would think it was pretty ok cause that’s where the baby is coming from. I understand they can have meconium, but it’s not like you’re gonna put your hands on your face or your mouth! What’s wrong with people??? Are they just stupid or what. I never understood how you could help mama with gloves on! Isn’t that kinda hard to get a grasp on the baby lamb to pull it? Oh you just said that. Sorry for the Rand ! I never wore gloves birthing calves. They were a hindrance and I couldn't get a good grip with gloves on. Tried it once and never did it again. Job well done Sandi ❤
