I fixed my windows problem 2 years ago when I got a M2 MacBook Air. Honestly, it’s the best purchase I’ve ever made. It has insanely good performance and battery life, I’m no longer forced into Microsoft’s ridiculous software updates requirements all for these so called “privacy and security updates.” In which they’ve never given us security or privacy in the first place. MacOS is the single-handedly most secure and stable OS I’ve ever used, I’ve had zero issues with it, and with gaming improving on this thing every year, this is hands down my favorite OS.

Ngl same which is why am using a modded windows 11 it always skips those privacy features and disables alot of them

There are plenty of external tools to make Windows 11 more private. Not to Linux levels, but still infinitely better than stock.

I customized my Windows 11 LTSC iso to be private, as minimal as possible, and clean all around. After setting everything up, i got it down to just over 50 background processes on fresh boot. On top of this, my windows search *only* searches installed programs and files, and honestly its the best windows search experience ive had. No bing, no ai, etc

If i had to pick, it would either be the ability to use any ui from the old days (win XP, 7, etc) natively, or ar least fix the inconsistent dark theme being white in a lot of win32 apps

I'm so happy I reduced my Windows dependency to the 'pass the butter' equivalent of updating satnav maps, that's the only thing my 2009 windows 8 laptop is still used for.

1st one I would fix is the resource usage.
Like I get 7.6 GB ram usage out of 8 running nothing... NOTHING (Not even windows defender).

One of the reasons I plan to run my Custom build of Windows 10 well beyond its deprecation date. By that time, Im fairly certain the Linux Desktop has caught up for all my needs. Else, I will just have to figure out how to mod windows 11 in the same way I did windows 10

What about being unable to customize the taskbar, Win support telling register settings are obsolete, some features won't be allowed for ms account requires olds person(family member) ms password even tho this person have literally nothing to do with it (even not known user/account anymore) and admin is new ms account, adding unwanted keyboard layout randomly, skype, random 5min update delay at startup when I arrive for school test, forced AI everything, control panel saving chaos-filled settings app.
