The "Vents" action doesn't make your vents quieter. Instead it activates a secondary ventilation system that itself doesn't make much noise.
You can use this to help cooling down the temperature while the main vent is on, or to slow down the heating process while the main vent is off.
It doesn't stop the heating completely on its own, but it does slow it down a fair bit.

I was legit sitting there, night 6, only 1 task left(replace bulbs) and I knew lefty was there so I turned my fan and computer off and he stood there waiting for 2 minutes until I thought he was gone and I turned my computer back on and instantly killed me

Good strats with luring them into those corners and upper rooms. I have seen others camping out a vent with a flashlight and just going back and forth between tasks and checking the other vent. You got it down to a science, man. Keep up the fun. God bless yours and you! :)

The other thing the “vent” option does is keeping your heat at bay for a little. While making minimal noise inside the ventilation everywhere so the animatronics can’t hear most task noises.

Thank you so much dude. My audio has just been acting up lately. I tried 20 times to beat this night until I died while printing my final paper and started a new game to get rid of the ads and try learn again. Before this video I just tried spamming the tasks and checking a vent while playing audio on the opposite side but then you said I should check the motion more often and not just use hearing and praying and I beat it on my first try. A real legend <3
