"Sanatan" means Eternal in Hindi, as does "ananta"; and "sanatana" means scenic. I suppose an eternal consciousness sees a lot of scenery. Carlos Santana was destined to participate in the expression of Eastern Enlightenment (i.e. Spirituality) that the Beatles started bringing over to the Western World during the 1960's, from India, to help balance Western Enlightenment (i.e. Materialism), and not just because of his last name. No Religion nor any one person, has a monopoly on Theological Knowledge and Salvation because God is everywhere, and so is God's Consciousness - and as an Omniscient (i.e. All knowing) being, God would get bored with just one (or just 3) expressions of anything (e.g. the Abrahamic Religions or even the 3 major Far Eastern Religions).
