How I failed to mention the masterpiece that is Killer Clowns From Outer Space I have no idea. I’m just disappointed in me.

When you mentioned the neighborhood Karen— that would be a great scene for a Karen to show up to help — satire possibilities

Honestly, the black dude dying first in scream 2 is probably a joke considering that the franchise is pure horror satire.

In 2020, the masked killer trope is the most horrifying of them all.

British people definitely wouldn't help if someone was being chased and murdered outside 🤭 we'd watch and then criticism them for getting into such a situation AFTER they're dead.

I have no stakes in this, I'm what is commonly known as a Whimp when it comes to horror

While watching this movie I kinda got the hankering for a reverse-horror story, where a bunch of horror-movie serial killers are all on the run and being hunted by one unstoppable pissed-off supercop. Can you imagine The Rock as a beat cop crashing through a wall and suplexing not-Scream off the top of a tenement house? Because I can, its awesome.

13:55 If a masked murderer came after me in 2020, I'd legit say "Thank you for wearing a mask. That's socially responsible."

Every time there’s a convoluted trap I think about Fred from Scooby Doo and his characterization in the crystal cove series. He had a FETISH for traps and kept trap magazines under his mattress 💀

Daniel you have to see Ready or Not. It’s the perfect *chef’s kiss* combination of murder family, comedy horror and intelligent protagonist.

On the subject of the lack of bystander help: it's a very real thing that unfortunately happens all the time.
I'd highly recommend searching for the bystander effect and the murder of kitty genovese

The best jump scare I've seen was in The Haunting of Hill House. Damn near threw my laptop across the room.

The first Saw is actually a good movie and I'm not a big fan of torture films either, just saying

You definitely need to watch the haunting of hill House on Netflix. The showrunner, director, editor, and writer is the same guy who did Hush. Its one of the best TV shows I've seen in the last few years. And there's a second season with an entirely new cast/story coming out on Oct. 9

U looked genuinely creepy in the intro. But thats one creep I'd have no problem living in my house

So, acording to Daniel, his ideal horror film would be a low budget adaptation of a horror book where the whole gist of it is that an alien creature is trying to kill a family, which is fighting back for survival and where there's an amazing performance in there. Also there's a detective character.

the performance of Toni Colette in hereditary is breathtakingly awesome

Who else was trying to guess which pictures symbolized which tropes, before Daniel made it that far?

Korean horror films like "The wailing" or "Cinderella" are really refreshing
