Here in SE Asia we have a wild population of them in the suburbs. I always associate their beautiful cooing with relaxing afternoon since they’re always so common in hotel gardens when I vacation

I saw this dove when I was visited to my aunt in Australia.
Wow so beautiful and nice coming. I wanted to steal his "pearl necklace".
in Sweden called the breed was the pearl neck pigeon - pärlhalsduva. So cute.🥰

I used to hear turtledoves cooing in my hometown as a child growing up. I always wanted to know what the source of the sound was and I'd ask my parents. They would always somehow miss it! It's so funny to me. I think I finally got someone to hear it with me around age 12. Turtledoves! So beautiful they are and their calls.

There are 2 turtledoves often stay on my house platform everyday around 7:45am to 8:15am... Love them, cute birds...LOL

Thank you for sharing this. My rescue turtle dove comes to life when he hears this. I use this video to help him relax and it does he feels so connected to the sounds. It is my go-to video i just keep repeating it over and over. It's the reason he flies to me and sits on my hand.
