You could clearly see Botha had no fear for Tyson and was fighting really well till he got knocked single blow can change everything😢😅😅😂

People always like to discredit Tyson's heart, "he never fought through adversity". This fight has always been my counter to that argument, the guy has a mental breakdown during a fight in front of the entire world (Holyfield 2), loses his 2nd consecutive loss for the first time in his career, and then gets banned from boxing all together for 2 years. He has zero fights for 2 years straight and has several legal battles and loses millions of dollars in the process, all the while his skills are declining due to age and inactivity. He fights a guy that is tough but "should lose", and all of a sudden he finds himself behind 4 straight rounds, missing punches, being pushed around and getting frustrated with the gameness of his opponent, and with his back against the wall he uncorks a text book right hand to topple his opponent to the floor, and once the count is up, and he knows he's won the battle he immediately runs over to try and help his defeated foe from falling to the ground again. Heart, humility and facing adversity is something this man has had to do since he was a boy, his greatness is not overrated whatsoever as a boxer or as a man, despite what the critics will always say. Legend Forever.

Botha was actually a pretty underrated HW and would have been champion if it wasn't for his win against Axel Schultz being overturned, good fighter but came up short against Tyson.

"The White Buffalo" Francois Botha was a good fighter who in his best contender years gave good runs against his opponents.
4-time world heavyweight title challanger, who fought for 4/5 of the major title belts with only the WBA one left-out.

Botha had some fine career fights like; Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko, Evander Holyfield, Michael Moorer, Shannon Briggs etc. and his fight with Tyson was a career make-or-break one for Iron Mike as a loss there would have derailed his career. Being behind on all the scorecards and in the process proved much tougher then anyone had ever expected until that right-hand crushed him.

To Bothas credit, he won some minor title belts, including;
the WBF heavyweight title, the WBA–NABA heavyweight title and the Transvaal heavyweight title.

Of all the fights Mike had, he got lucky in this one. Botha was cruising to a UD. Mike didn't look too good in this one

Botha would not have lasted a round with the Iron Mike of the 80's.

Great video! Father time catches us all, but how we pivot when it does, it part of what can define us.

Aging Mike Tyson has been a gift to the world. He has turned into one of the most interesting personas from any sport and his willingness to just sort of do whatever he wants all the time and make it work is very inspiring

Botha is an old school fighter, spanning for years beyond his hay day. They don't make fighter like these anymore.

Dope video.
I remember watching all of mikes comeback fights. There was always fear that he would do something to get himself disqualified.

Them Tyson fight nights…just imagine ALL ACCESS AND FACE OFF in them days!!! One of the best straight rights like the over straight looping one against Golota when the Pole ‘slipped’!!!

Tyson was trying to break Botha’s arm and referee did nothing about it, why? We always take celebrity’s side even if he was wrong

I dont know how the crew missed that Tyson was trying to break Bothas arm at the end of the 1st. He did the same to Holyfield in the 2nd round of the rematch
