Regarding the ‘advertising’, there’s been lots of bad press regarding product reviews on YouTube (and some of it justified), however in this case full disclosure at the start made everything clear and the link provided offered the chance of a free gift to those who used it. Not a problem IMHO.

Enjoyed the update Andy. I don't know why people have such an issue with sponsored videos when you publish so much great content. I absolutely am enjoying the tour videos and look forward to the live streams 😁

Personally speaking, I ALWAYS enjoy your trips away with Mrs Flyer. Apart from anything else, they give me ideas for next year's trip abroad👍☺. You keep the trip coming 😀🏍.

As an Australian I wasn't prepared for the so-called roads in regional England. They are nothing short of goat tracks and are the width of you average driveway here in Aus. Loved the scenery and the people but the roads...

Im 60 years old, I do not believe it myself, where have all the years gone. I lived yes. Well back to ailments, last year in January I had a shoulder issue, damn it was painful night without sleep. Then I went to Osteopath and started doing Pilates. All of this helps, still have some pain on some days, but can ride. In January 2024 we were at the Penguins in Valladolid, on one tour I was not even able to ride my bike, so much pain. But as I said Pilates and Osteopath have helped.

I know what you mean about a heated seat. Luxury. I hear the latest accessory you can get for your bike is two extra wheels and a fully enclosed air conditioned cabin! Those that have tried it have said they would never go back! Slippery slope, son.😁

Thanks for the update TMF. I’ve been watching you for ages and enjoy listening to your thoughts on the bikes you review. Best wishes on your shoulder and get better soon!

The E10 issue is true. Until recently I had a T595 which I bought in 1997 and all was good until a few years ago when I left it over the winter with a full tank of ethanol fuel. When I opened up the garage ready for my first ride of the year, the tank had blisters covering most of it's surface. I called the manufacturers UK office and found that they make the tanks for Triumph, BMW and Ducati and all had to be re-formulated to withstand the new fuels. It's a problem for classic car owners too 'cause the stuff destroys o rings, seals etc in the fuel systems.

Nice to hear that your favourite bike is the old GS. Just a proper bike with the right things you really need when you are on the roads. No apps and electronics that doesn’t work when you need them, No quickshifter, just a clonk when you shift gear, not +150 bhp etc.etc. For us who’s been in the saddle for a long time, (myself 50 years) this is what motorcycling is all about. When I want to go comfy I take the car.
Cheers and thank you for your great channel! 😊👍🇸🇪

I had a whiffy petrol smell after a service once, turned out they had unscrewed the fuel cap from the tank, then put it back, but didn't notice that the filler-cap to tank rubber seal had shifted slightly... I just re-aligned and whiff was gone.

I miss riding my 1995 R1100GS. I took me 15 years and about 1500 miles shy of 100, 000 miles. It was the best handling most comfortable bike I ever rode including my 1994 Honda Goldwing. Altogether I logged approximately in the neighborhood of 350, 000 miles on 2 wheels but 4 years ago I lost my left leg which ended my riding carreer.

Totally random comment. But seeing your list of topics taped to the tank reminded me of the time about 25 years ago when I used Blu Tack to stick the directions on the tank of my Ducati SS750 (not a very bright idea, I know). My wife was driving down to Cornwall with the kids and I was taking the bike down so we could do some 2-wheeled trips whilst there. Of course the directions blew off after a few miles at around Beaconsfield on the M40 with nearly 290 miles to go to St Ives. No SatNav or mobile phones back then. I got lost several times and arrived very late in the dark to an extremely unsympathetic other-half. I've not really used Blu Tack for anything else since. It was a good ride though - I enjoyed every minute of it.

Ref your shoulder…and thinking outside the box. My wife suffered from shoulder pain for a couple of years. Drs diagnosed frozen shoulder due to using a walking stick, or lying on it and gave injections, etc. Nothing worked. However, not sure if you know, but you can get referred pain in the shoulder, similar to frozen shoulder pain, due to issues in the area of your diaphragm. They eventually found “stuff” in her abdomen pressing up on her diaphragm and removed it. Miracle and instant cure for her shoulder pain! Just a thought? Of course, if you have had damage confirmed by MRI’s of your shoulder then ignore the above. A quick heads up, shoulder ops are “quite” painful due to the numerous neves in the shoulder and tend to take a while to recover after an operation. Good luck. 🤞🏻

People criticising content around advertising clearly don't realise that YouTubers do need to have an income and that their time isn't free. It's bizarre to me that anyone would not understand this but there you go...

E10 rots stuff, seals, rubber etc. it’s not BS especially on older bikes.

I don't watch any of your review videos unless it's something I'm specifically interested in buying.
I do however love your tour videos and watch all of them. It's the main reason I join your channel...especially the banter between yourself and Mrs F.

I love countryside meandering rides too, a lot to be said for it ! I'm not adverse to sporty riding, but chilling out on backroads is most therapeutic 🙂
