I don't have any org in my vs code but when I click authorize on org- sandbox it not take me login to slaesforce test page it shows Authorize on org ran successfully but I don't find any org in my vs code can you please help me with this

If I right-click package.xml file "sfdx: retrieve source in the manifest from org" the option is not coming and I am getting an error "Add the --global flag to set config outside of a project' WHAT TO DO?

I am unable to install salesforce extension pack from the visual studio code extension marketplace it gives me an error XHR failed. Secondly I download the extension from the google and install with VSIX and whenever I try to create sfdx project It's show nothing.
How can I fix my problem.

Hi, I tried the same steps and it was working for me. But suddenly it has stopped working. When I try to authorize an org, it keeps on processing but does not open browser. Tried changing default browser as well. Any idea what could be the issue?
