My goodness, that's beautiful. Feels almost contemporary.

I'm surprised at the rallentando towards the end. Well played!

I enjoyed this even though it is done artificial. Every single time I play this piece it is done with a different feel, but I am a beginner and I can say I will never play this masterpiece the same way all the time.

To quote our old pals at Sesame Street... 🎶"One of these things is not like the others. One of these things dosen't belong. Can you tell which thing is not like the other by the time i finish this song"! 🎶( I think the imposter is bar 23. 😁)

Huh. Strange. In the book Piano by Chris Coetzee the sheet music is really weird. The staves go 1, 3, 6, 13, 20, 27, 33.

In detail for those like me who didn't/don't know what the numbers mean: The first stave is only two bars, second is three, third, forth, and fifth are seven, sixth is six, and the last stave is three wherein the last bar is only one whole note.

Now all that is simply something I don't understand as a complete beginner who doesn't understand how this even works without a time signature. But what's really odd is that for four staves, 3-6, they're. All. Half note Chords. It looks nothing like the sheet music used for this.

Is this a bad book or what?

I remember my piano teacher providing music lessons on this piece. I had to be perfect.

This version includes the very questionable "Schwencke Measure" (second measure on the bottom at 1:14). See the BWV 846 entry in Wikipedia for more on that.

Please help people who know more than me.... I'm teaching myself piano and am currently working on this piece. The sheet music I have is identical to the one being played here, but most others don't seem to have the bar played at 01:14 I'm confused. 0_o Should it or should it not be there??

I almost prefer to hear midi. This isn't a super expressive piece. It is complex like all of Bach's work, but it gives a simple at home vibe.
