Ahhh I remember those fun transitions from coach pitch to machine to player pitch. It goes by so fast.

So much to learn. Coach has to learn where the kid swings so he can throw the ball there. Balls need to be same weight and shape or they never are thrown the same place with a machine. Players rarely get a good pitch to hit (usually one pitch in a at bat) with kid pitch. The most important thing is to teach good foot work first (front foot comes down in line with the back foot and home plate) then the arm motion will follow easier.

It feels so weird now that I haven’t played coach pitch in like five years so coming back to see how slow they pitched and how easy it should’ve been to get a hit but I still struggled to get on base is crazy but now I play 12u and now have better mechanics.
