I bought one and love it. It's comfy for an hour, then my butt starts hurting. Lol I'm getting the Yamaha comfort seat in a month. They're back ordered right now. I love the sound of that engine and the quick shifter works so good. It puts a smile on my face and soul.

That was an excellent review, right to the point and covering all the important info. Really answered all the questions I had. Thank you. Also very glad you made it back home safe from the TT. It’s always extreme but this year seemed to be just that much more intense. Anyway stay safe, and as always looking forward to your next video. Cheers

The engine / transmission combo works like a treat! And the S22 tyres are among the very best in the twisties 😎🏁🏁

I have a 2016, grey with fluo wheels i totally love it. Yamaha haven't created a game changer, but they're leading the way with the japanese nakeds. Unless you're willing to pay top Italian money, then this is the naked to buy in my opinion.

just tell me there's a headlight mod for that horrendous looking headlight. How could they ruin the beastly look with such twinkly grasshopper eyeballs. I mean, it's horrendous. It completely kills the masculine look it has. It truly hurts me, because I really want this bike.

10:40 except for the turn indicator lights. You just brush up against them with your leg much less bump one while you’re throwing a leg over and it’ll break off so easy you won’t even realize it happened.

I loved my 10. Easy to ride, fun, etc. 👍👍🇨🇦

Nice review! Are they still offering an SP version? I’ve read about the SP version with brimbo breaks and adjustable Olins should take care on the negative breaking you cited.

$23, 650 in Australia, or $27, 350 for the SP. I think I’d go for the SP if I was in the market for a MT10. I love all the electronics the new bikes have, especially a well sorted quickshifter. I’ve owned 2 Yamahas in the past and they’ve been bulletproof. If I wanted a sporty bike to go with my Z900RS I reckon the MT10SP would be it.

Great review. I’m thinking of getting one myself. 🙂 i assume the riding footage is of you riding it, correct? If you don’t mind me asking, how tall are you? Trying to picture how I’ll look riding it at 6’4” 😅

I quite like the looks of the MT10 except for that headlight arrangement. Speed limiter on a beast like this is a great idea in principle, how did it go in practice? Overall this style of bike is not really on my radar, way more electronics than I’d ever need but if I was in the market I reckon I’d fork out the extra cash for a Tuono or even a Speed Triple. Still would love to take one for a test ride. Great review Rennie, thanks for posting.

I had a 2018 with yellow rims, nice bike but this is another planet 💪, good Yamaha I have owned it for 4 months and I have done 4000km here around the Swiss mountains, it's really bestial, here the model with colored rims costs 16000.- sr about, nice video 👍

Other than the fuel mileage, which is dismal, I think this is the best street / sport bike available today. Just a brilliant well built motorcycle. On my '22 I miss the incredible sound quality that the previous generation produced, but it still sounds pretty good. I think the electronics and the improved styling are worth the loss of sound quality. The fake air intakes on the older version really put me off.

Europe prices are steeper, but still compared to the other brands this is the best bang for the buck. I think Yamaha is making quite a difference with their sale strategy. Aside from that i am using an MT10 2016 for a year now cant wait to upgrade to the latest, it's addictive.

Used examples, at least near me, are reasonably cheap and you're getting essentially the same bike without the 6 axis IMU. I found a perfect bone stock blue '18 with 1kmi for $9800 late last summer. Spend another $600 for a decat link pipe and "tune" and you have a bike that runs SO much better than stock! No better bargain on 2 wheels imo.

Actually MT means Master of Torque

What i don't like is the fuel gauge. There is only 1 bar between full tank and half tank. Cmon Yamaha, you could have done better.

At 64 kg, the '16 MT10 was firm as anything below hooligan speed and annoyed me no end trying to have a relaxing ride (speed limit). If this is firmer, it's definitely a no-go bike. The Tuono V4 (Sachs) seems to have suspension that does fast and slow equally well... (For me, on New Zealand roads...)

I have always loved this bikes motor, chassis, and electronics but never it’s looks. Such a bummer as I’d buy it if it looked like a motorcycle and not a transformer. Yamaha where is the XSR1000? I dig the styling of the XSR 900 and wish this bike would be given the same treatment.
