This song makes me cry, not because my dad is in jail but, because my best friend's dad has been in and out of jail during most of her life, and this song is so touching.

I lost my Dad to cancer about 7 years ago. One of my favorite memories of him was when I was little and they had a Daddy Daughter date night at my church. That was wonderful night and I couldn't help but picture it. And with Father's day coming... I think of all that will be going on... but Daddy isn't around. He's in heaven with my heavenly Father. :) I still miss him.

Growing up when I was younger my dad spent time in jail, he realized how much of my life he was missing. He decided then to turn his life around, he accepted jesus into his life. Sadly a few years later when I was only 9 he passed away. This song really struck home seeing as I grew up without my dad, always wishing I got one last dance..

This isn’t father related, but when I was in kindergarten we had grandparents day at my school (as the school did every year). My grandparents couldn’t come because they were too old and lived too far away (one lived out of the country) so my best friend shared her grandparents with me. And in second grade, my oldest brother (he was 26 and I was 7) came to grandparents day, because my grandparents were dead (one was still alive, but lived out of the country.
