So with the OnePlus 6t you get double the standard storage, bigger battery, more screen, smaller chin and notch, in display fingerprint sensor, but everybody is complaning about the 3.5mm jack?? Imagine if OnePlus had the Pixel 3xl compromises..

Oneplus explained why they get rid of the headphone jack, because of the bigger battery, and the fingerprint sensor, they didnt had any room for the jack, it will take some years, but eventually the jack will die. I'm saying this but i love my jack in my op6, just saying this because you talked about the never settle theme. Great video btw, allways love android authority articles and reviews.

You should be placing the top most portion of you finger on the scanner. That's the area which has 'Friction Ridges' and will be easily read by the scanner. Both tries during this video had your finger overshoot the scanner. Just an observation !!

Loads of reviewers tend to miss place their finger on the finger print display and the talk about how slow it is, oneplus purposely added that flash logo of the finger print so you know where to place your finger it is not that hard! and if you do you will see the quick unlock. Very annoying. not hating just pointing out the obvious, gr8 review!

I don't like the direction the 6T went. No headphone jack and moving the fingerprint sensor to the front are heavy deal breakers for me

Personally, I think the OnePlus 6 has the better value just for that headphone jack. I use it everyday and it's too big of a trade-off for me. Also, that in display fingerprint reader was a gamble and hurts the experience of the phone. Remember, OnePlus has always been known for performance and speed; having a slow fingerprint chops a big chunk of the experience of the phone.
That huge battery is an amazing improvement tho

No headphone jack which means no DAC. No boomsound. No IP68, no wireless charge. Only 1080p display. No SD card, no wide angle camera. No thanks, I'd rather settle with the V40.

I'm really debating between the 6T or the regular 6. The headphone Jack's important to me. But, I just love the new notched screen of the T. However, no one's talking about two things regarding the T: 1) Notifications/notification lights or lack thereof, and 2) Quality of audio through the 6T's USB-C input and bullet earphones you must purchase and the quality of audio through the regular 6's jack (in addition to the single-firing speaker on each). Audio performance is important to me, as well. Do you have any thoughts on these things?
