Let’s all be honest, had the Republican Party been successful in denying the peaceful transition of power do you think the Republican Party at large would defend the coup or condemn it? So far, the GOP have called January 6th a peaceful protest and avoid all accountability. Roger stone said that if electors showed up to the electoral college armed guards would throw them out. Let’s not be imbeciles and think we can work alongside the Republican Party; in order to heal from 2020, we need the house, the senate, and the presidency.

I think they might have considered it but then he went on the Sunday shows saying the shut down was caused by the Democrats. They played a clip of it in their meeting discussing it. That solidified their decision!

If McCarthy had stuck to his post 1/6/21 conclusions as delivered to congress, I'd give him consideration. But he crumbled in the face of the man behind the 1/6 insurrection. Hes not a person who'll fight for his own beliefs, or is like Trump..., compromised by a foreign power.
