Man, this makes me miss DJing. I used to do it, even though I was still a beginner. I got really good at outro transitions, and was getting into mid track mixing at the chorus and stuff before life moved me in a different direction. It's nice to see that I was in good shape and doing it right, well mostly. Lately I've been dusting off the old tracks and messing around with software (since it's all I've got at the moment.) Learned a few new tricks off this video that I am itching to play with.

That first tip I just started doing a few months ago and its golden! Like you said, it helps you beatmatch the track before bringing it in. Appreciate these tips!

Thank you Andrew for explaining this way of mixing. This was what I was looking for when mixing Trance and not wanting to play all the breaks and keep the energy in the set.

Andrew, your passion and authenticity comes across in every video. I took the courses and loved all of them. Thank you for what you do.

DJing has been such a fun hobby for me. I finally recorded a set outdoors this past weekend. The combination of nature and mixing music is magical!

Always look forward to these tutorial videos. Clear, well presented, and helping an elderly hobbyist (bedroom DJ) like me improve day by day. Love the way you use CDJ900s too, underlying the fact it’s the skill and not the equipment that makes the magic. Great work sir, thank you. 🍻

Hi, do you have tips on mixing chorus after chorus? I play a lot of hardcore and with this genre of music you need to keep the energy high. If the set has a lot of breakdowns the set gets boring, so you need to have the kicks going for a longer time sometimes. Like by mixing replacing the breakdown with a new drop/chorus.

Heyho,

Love your course - really got a lot out of it so far.
Do you know where you explain the difference between working up / down the EQ?
I watcht the Tree and the Advanced Tree, but can not remember you talking working down the EQ (which does sound awesome!)

Keep up the good work!

Would you ever consider selling individual videos for the people who only want certain sections ?

5:29 If I remember correctly, you can start the next song on the drop (beginning of the chorus) and then slowly mix in as the chorus ends?
