recreating damo tea house’s version of a hojicha einspanner

no but if you haven’t given hojicha a try, i suggest it because 9/10 times i’ll pick hojicha over matcha

sweetened tea base (if you have loose leaf tea, you could brew/cold brew that and use it as base instead, but i believe damo uses powder)
• ~2.5g hojicha powder
• ~85g water
• ~2 tsp sweetener (i used vanilla syrup)

cream:
• bit of water with bit of hojicha powder (~0.5g), and 3-5g of sugar depending on sweetness preference, then mix it up a bit
• 35-40g of heavy cream, whisk until thick and incorporated

combine, then dust off with hojicha powder

what temp do you recommend for houjicha, same as matcha (around 70-80c)?
