Friday 2/28/2020 I just put away first & only True Love. He passed on his B-day Mon. Feb. 10, 2020. We married July 23rd, 1975, right after my 18th b-day. My b-day is July 18. We had good times & hard times. But, he left this Earth knowing I loved him from the beginning & I loved him to the end. I keep crying cause I think of the good & the bad times. I was hoping & praying to have my husband, my sons father for another 3 years. He promised he would be here. He was greatly ill. I MISS HIM SO, though I know for certain I will see my first love, my only love again when I get to heaven. Love ur loves one as much as possible. Never tire of showing them & telling them how much they mean to u. God bless everyone that reads this. Babe, I AM STILL IN LOVE WITH YOU!!

Heaven = Cruising in a 75' Cadillac, listening to AL Green on a long country road, during a summer afternoon eating an ice cream cone at slow speed while heading to a family cookout at grandma's house which is down a dusty path with tall cedar trees giving you a windy salute as they gently rock back and forth until sunset. I miss you grandma. See you soon.

He came to Jamaica in the 70s and melted off lots drawers.... most of them ended up on the stage.

This song is without question on of the most beautiful things I ever heard. My grandmother loved Al Green and played his album constantly. We used to dance to it every time I went to see her. It is part of the soundtrack of my life. Thank you Mr. Green.

Good Lord, man. The man's tones could melt the frost off your windshield in the coldest parts of the North Pole.

My dad over played this "LP". I hated all his music back in the day, as a five year old kid...Fast forward, it's 2023 and I can't get enough of those "70's" music. Those songs especially AL Green songs had made an indelible mark on me. I LOVE the 70's, I wish we could go back in time, and stay there....( Now as a parent, my kids hate my 70"2 music) Thanks daddy, I LOVE you.❤(RIP)😢😢

My husband sent me this song in a email message for a Valentine in 2021. Married 38 years. Love him more than ever. Love the comment about melting ice, because it is 10 degrees and snowing.

Every note comes through with raw emotion, and feelings you can only have if you were a teen in the 70's as I was. We were a different breed of Love and Peace
